Intro to Junk Journaling

  • Haven Place 1343 N Galleria Dr. Nampa ID 83687 USa (map)

Junk Journaling is one of the fastest-growing hobbies in the US and UK...and there's a good reason...it's addictive! What's a Junk Journal??! It's a handmade book filled with pages made from gorgeous 'found' papers like handmade tea stained paper, old sheet music, vintage book pages, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, ledger paper, post cards, etc...all kinds of treasures!

In this introductory workshop you'll get a complete kit to make a beautiful Junk Journal cover. Then for the inside of your book, you'll choose from my own personal collection of found and scavenged papers, many that I've already tea stained for you. I'll show you how to bind the pages into your book and give you a bunch of fun ideas for adding envelopes, pockets, flaps, tuck-spots, journaling cards, and tabs to your junk journal. Then we'll talk about ideas for using it!

Graduates of this workshop are eligible to join our monthly Junk Journaling Club where you'll get a new add-on kit, learn a new technique and then have free time in our studio to junk journal side-by-side with us.

'Intro to Junk Journaling' is for Repeaters, too! I'll have new kits available for you that you can make right alongside the newbies, like this brand new Tri-Folio Kit. It is SO fun to make and it makes a beautiful gift.
